Visit to the Battersea Power Station development

Uplifting to see we still have the capabilities and ambition to undertake and deliver huge and complex projects. Managing Partner Tim Beckh comments on a visit to the Battersea Power Station Development.

Many thanks to @Aran Verling, @Jason Langer and the Mace and Sir Robert McAlpine teams for their fascinating tour of the Battersea Power Station development this week. The scale of the whole venture is staggering and the attention to detail demanded by listed building regulations truly spectacular. All of this whilst also competing for space on the same site with the equally complex Thames Tideway and Northern Line Extension projects shows the quality of the project leadership and the value of having an integrated client team working collaboratively with its various partners.

When finished, Battersea Power Station will be a worthy attraction for its anticipated 40 million visitors a year. The pictures don’t do it justice – if you are in the area go and visit for yourself.
