From Transactions to Enterprises
The Infrastructure Client Group’s new approach to delivering high performance infrastructure
The coming few years will see the start of work on some of the country’s most significant and complex major infrastructure projects including High Speed 2, Hinckley Point C and Heathrow’s third runway as well as a raft of motorway, power and water sector programmes. In preparation, the industry has been considering its ability to deliver these critical programmes effectively with substantial efficiency savings.
The Infrastructure Client Group, a collection of experts representing the major stakeholders, industry bodies and asset owners formed with the guidance of the Institution of Civil Engineers, has been looking at aspects of project governance, alliancing, procurement, planning and construction delivery in order to develop guidance and best practice for the delivery of UK Infrastructure. It has launched a major report – From Transactions to Enterprises – that sets out a new strategic approach to delivering high performance infrastructure and which questions the way in which the industry needs to embrace the creation of value driven, collaborative working in order to deliver the outcomes demanded by clients and the public.
